Source high-quality sushi, deliver excellent presentation, sell low-cost ($23.95 for lunch OR $27.95 for dinner). Yes, pun intended, seriously, if you are looking for the BEST AYCE (all you can eat) sushi this is the place. Wow Umami is a place you need to write home to your mommy about! We will never come here again and want people to know there are 1000 better sushi places in Vegas for far better prices. For the prices they charge at this establishment, the quality of food and service is just not on par. The edamame which took 25 minutes to come out was the high light of the entire dinner. The sushi was nothing to talk about and I couldn’t help but think how it was being prepared since the rest of our food was not fresh. The shrimp shumai was pathetic…we buy better frozen at Seafood City. Moving on to the taste of the food…the calamari may have set the low bar for me - bland, extremely dry and overcooked. We told the waitress about this and they brought out another one that was microwaved and in a little plastic cup lol…(35 minute wait for this and we were the only customers in the restaurant.) The egg that came out with our ramen was still half frozen. The other half of our dinner orders came out another 15 minutes later. It took almost 25 minutes for our appetizers to come out - these came out with half our dinner orders. On a Friday night at 6:30 we were the only people in the entire restaurant. I really have no idea how this place has so many good reviews. Despite the fact that the name of the restaurant has "steak and sushi" in it! On top of that they proceeded to tell us all the things from the menu that were not included in the all you can eat price.īottom line, I would not recommend anyone visiting this restaurant. The thing that brought us to the restaurant originally was that it was supposed to be all you can eat, but when we got here the first thing they told us was there was no stake on the menu. Along with the fried rice which wasn't fried, had almost no egg in it, and had no flavoring. The teriyaki chicken was way overcooked, dry, and flavorless. The two types of sushi we ordered were bland and had such a minuscule amount of rice on them that you would think it was made of gold. It was primarily cheap imitation crab smeared on some rice paper. The sushi pizza, which the waiter told us would be "big", was completely underwhelming and covered with onions which weren't even supposed to be on it. Imagine going to a wing joint and ordering the hottest fieriest sauce on the menu, and that's about how they served edamame. We started with the spicy garlic edamame, which came out so fiery hot that it went unfinished. Every item we ordered had a serious problem. I have no idea how anyone could enjoy this restaurant unless they were getting drunk at the bar. Wow! What a let down! Google maps seriously failed me this time. They even talked us into some delicious sorbet, which you will come back to try again because it’s so good!Ĭheck this place out, it’s a perfect dinner place, impeccable service, and the price wasn’t bad at all and it’s well worth it! We then slowly made our way toward the entrees, of which they had a great selection but it wasn’t overwhelming. You have to try both you’ll remember the taste of both for ages! They recommended some appetizers that were too good to pass up, blue fin fatty tuna, and white fish carpaccio. We got a couple drinks to start the night off and they were a good pour, and tasty. The service was fantastic and they always checked on us, which is impressive since this place is always busy. When you walk in the ambiance is perfect, slightly dimmed lights and it makes you fee perfectly relaxed. Always reserve ahead, this place is always busy busy! We checked this place out when we first arrived and we’re lucky enough to find a table. The first stop in Vegas that you will never forget! A bright portable table lamp was on the table, making it very nice to be able to see both the menu and the food as well. Service was very good and pretty fast, with their servers utilizing tablets for ordering. The shrimp, calamari and fish tempuras were all excellent. We had two rolls, rainbow roll and something wrong, both very good. All the nigiri was fresh, and served with perfect rice proportion. The salmon skin salad was very big, and had a lot of fried skin delicious! The spicy garlic edamame was very good, spiced just right with lots of garlic. The only issue I had was with the rather tasteless cucumber salad, which was nothing to write home about. They also have individual prices and lunch specials for those not needing all you can eat. The red dinner menu is available all day. They have an all-you-can-eat lunch and dinner.
